Is PickFresh free to use?
PickFresh is free for buyers, and sellers get their first 3 transactions completely free with no fees. After that, we charge a 12% commission on sales to keep the platform running. No listing fees or hidden charges.
How do I know the produce is fresh?
Everything on PickFresh is grown locally by your neighbors. Most produce is picked the same day you buy it. You can also message sellers directly to ask about freshness.
How do payments work?
We use Stripe for secure payments. Buyers can pay with credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay directly in the app. Sellers can easily get their money transferred straight to their bank account with automatic payouts.
What if I have a lot of fruit to sell?
List as much as you want. You can create multiple listings and update quantities as items sell. Many of our sellers list seasonal harvests from their backyard trees.
Is PickFresh available in my area?
We're currently focused on Los Angeles with plans to expand to more cities soon. Download the app to see what's available near you, and if your area doesn't have listings yet, be the first to start building your local community!
How does pickup work?
PickFresh makes it simple and low-stress. Buyers pay through the app first. Once an order is confirmed, sellers can leave their produce on their porch or front area for pickup — no need to meet anyone in person. Buyers simply stop by, pick it up, and go.
Do I have to meet the buyer?
No. Because payment is already completed in the app, there's no need to coordinate handoffs or handle cash. Most sellers choose porch pickup for convenience and peace of mind.
Is it safe?
Yes. All users have verified emails, and seller profiles include ratings and history. Porch pickup during daylight hours is recommended, and you're always in control of how and when your produce is picked up.
